Camp Values Statement

Giving youths the opportunity to experience outdoor activities and spiritual enrichment. Camp Viola is a private non-profit Christian organization founded by Miss Viola Burks.

Miss Vi, as she was lovingly known, desired to provide a camp for children, at no cost to their families, that would give them the opportunity for outdoor activities and spiritual enrichment. Her legacy remains in the hearts and activities of many local churches and volunteers.

These churches and their leadership have provided week-long, overnight and day camp experiences to up to sixty, eight to twelve year olds, enabling these youngsters to have a life long relationship with Jesus Christ. Since the mid 90’s more Christian schools, churches and other organizations, such as the Georgia Council for the Hearing Impaired and Grandparents Raising Grandchildren have hosted retreats at Camp Viola.

With the recent donation from the Callaway Foundation, Inc. allowing for much needed renovations, camp is now available year round.
