Camp Values Statement
Taken directly from their website:
“At Keystone Science School, we believe that every child deserves camp. We foster personal relationships, independence, and an appreciation for the outdoors through life-changing experiences. Keystone Science School Camp programs are high energy, achieving a strong sense of community through Science. Adventure. Fun!
Science. We make extensive use of the multiple ecosystems around us in order to nurture scientific inquiry and cultivate sensitivity to the natural world. KSS’s vision is to encourage skilled decision-makers by fostering critical thinking.
Adventure. Children come to us during a stage of life known as “construction of self.” Their experiences are the building blocks that will shape them as the amazing individuals they will become.
Fun! We are devoted to creating fun, supportive and enriching experiences that provide campers with opportunities to grow, not just intellectually, but personally and socially as they develop healthy friendships and create long-lasting memories.
Through science, adventure, and fun, Keystone Science School Camps create experiences that inspire youth to better themselves, their communities, and the world.”

That’s A Wrap!
Hopefully, this breakdown provided some helpful insight into Keystone Science School. I love seeing camps reach a little further into their local communities to create as much positive impact for our future leaders as possible.
Keystone Science School is one of those camps that strives to go a little further and beyond to support our kids growth. This is tied to a strong and consistent set of values across all of their various programs.
These programs extend to after-school care, kids backpacking trips, and their Girls in STEM Program. And they, of course, have a fun and developed summer camp for the kids as well!
Camps that blend together unplugged outdoor adventures with a strong educational component provide the most prolonged impact for your kids. The seeds of their future growth will be planted and fostered at camp. This will create positive ripples of confidence and empowerment for their entire lives. Have a great time preparing your young camper for their unforgettable outdoor adventure!
“Time passes differently at camp. You can miss a year and when you go back it’s like you never left.”
